Best of all, this much power does not equate to bad fuel efficiency. The various components that were added when the new EcoDiesel engine was created are part of what makes it so wonderful. Is Ram discontinuing the EcoDiesel?

The 2018 F-150 sports a class-leading 14,000-pound hauling and towing rating, as well as a big, comfortable, and elegant interior. There isn’t a single engine on this list that isn’t a good pick. Even the standard V6 moves the vehicle well in the city and on the highway, and it has adequate towing capacity. The V8 engines are more powerful, and they, combined with the diesel engine, are the greatest towing options. The new TRX is incredibly powerful and accelerates like a sports car. It will go from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.5 seconds.

The Ram gets 20 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway with its base V6 engine and rear-wheel drive, which are decent numbers for the class. In the Ram Classic 1500, however, these V6 estimates drop to 17/25 mpg. When you choose a V8, the figures drop even further to 15/22 mpg city/highway, however they’re still comparable to V8-powered rivals. The mild-hybrid V8 in the Ram gets 17/23 mpg city/highway, which is significantly better than most other V8s.

The Ram with the diesel engine is by far the most fuel-efficient, at 22/32 mpg city/highway. The Ram TRX’s fuel efficiency figures aren’t yet available, but it’s safe to assume they’ll be the poorest in the lineup.

The Ram is no exception. Large trucks aren’t recognized for their handling skills. On curving roads, it remains sturdy and composed. The Ram 1500’s primary selling point is its ride; no other vehicle offers the same level of comfort as the Ram 1500.

All Ram 1500 models come with four-wheel drive, so you may drive through sand and snow in any of them. The Rebel and all-new TRX trims, on the other hand, are ideal for hardcore off-roading. The Ram has two complete sets of LATCH connectors for the outboard seats in the back seat. In Quad Cab vehicles, the rear middle seat has a tether anchor, while Crew Cab models feature a full set of upper and lower anchors. The LATCH system in the Ram received the second-highest grade of Acceptable for ease of use in Quad Cab models and the second-lowest rating of Marginal in Crew Cab models from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.

The Level 2 Equipment Group ($2,500) adds dual-zone automatic climate control, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and front and rear parking sensors to the Level 1 group.

The Ram 1500 Laramie has a starting price of $41,880. Genuine leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, power-adjustable front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, a heated steering wheel, and an upgraded Uconnect infotainment system with an 8.4-inch touch screen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, satellite radio, and an Alpine premium sound system are all standard features on the Laramie.

The Laramie Southwest Edition ($2,795) includes a 12-inch infotainment touchscreen and other cosmetic enhancements. Adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, and parallel and perpendicular park assist are included in the Advanced Safety Group ($1,695).

The Rebel, which starts at $45,770, is the first major off-road variant in the lineup. A locking differential, tow hooks, and a performance suspension system with a 2-inch lift kit are all standard on this model. A power-adjustable driver’s seat, satellite radio, and a 115-volt household power outlet are also included. Despite the fact that this is an off-road model, four-wheel drive is an extra $3,500.

Heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, dual-zone automatic climate control, and the updated Uconnect infotainment system with an 8.4-inch touch screen, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto are all included with the Rebel’s Level 1 Equipment Group ($2,000). Remote start and front and rear parking sensors are included in the Level 2 Equipment Group ($3,000).

The Level 1 Equipment Group ($3,895) adds a Harman Kardon audio system with 19 speakers, a 12-inch touch screen, heated rear seats, wireless device charging, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, and motorized running boards. This trim also comes with the Advanced Safety Group ($1,695).

The Limited has a starting price of $56,600. It has a 12-inch touch screen that is vertically oriented, power running boards, four-corner air suspension, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, and wireless device charging.

The Level 1 Equipment Group ($2,995) adds a 19-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, ventilated rear seats, a surround-view parking camera system, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, parallel and perpendicular park assist, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, and parallel and perpendicular park assist to this trim.

The all-new Ram 1500 TRX sports the most powerful engine in the series, the same supercharged V8 found in Dodge Charger and Dodge Challenger Hellcat models, and it starts at $70,095. The TRX has a 12-inch touch screen and a 10-speaker stereo system, which are similar to the Big Horn’s standard amenities.

Genuine leather upholstery, power-adjustable front seats, heated front seats, and a heated steering wheel are included in the TRX Level 1 Equipment Group ($3,420). Blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, front and rear parking sensors, a surround-view parking camera system, wireless device charging, ventilated front seats, and heated and ventilated rear seats are all included in the Level 2 Equipment Group ($7,920).

The Ram Classic 1500 is available in three trim levels: Classic Tradesman (MSRP: $28,855), Classic Express ($30,355), and Classic Warlock ($37,445), all of which are carryovers from the previous generation of the Ram 1500.
