More than 2,700 campsites are available in 41 parks, including tent-only areas, RV pull-through sites, primitive camping, and group camping spaces. The typical nightly rate is roughly $30-35. Is there cable in Fort Yargo?
There are two main campgrounds, a pioneer campground, and you can rent Yurts and Cabins in Fort Yargo State Park. They also have some excellent maps that explain the arrangement a little more well than I can. We appreciated how the roads in the campgrounds were laid up because they were simple to understand and allowed for quick entry and exit.
Power, water, and cable are available at the RV sites, however there is no sewer hookup. The dump station, however, is conveniently located on the way out of the campgrounds.
Fort Yargo’s bathrooms and showers are also a big benefit. They’re not just well-lit, but the water pressure is incredible, and the on-site hosts do an excellent job of keeping them in top shape.
When driving into Campground 1 or Campground 2, keep a close eye on your speed. They have some fantastic speed bumps, but they also have some that are quite thin and high. So move slowly when you’re going through the process; you don’t want those dishes to fly out:).
Once you’ve passed the speed bumps, you’ll quickly notice how many spots there are, as well as how private they feel. We ended up with people on both sides of us for a good portion of our stay, but it didn’t feel that way. Perhaps it’s because Site #7 is perpendicular to the lake, but I doubt it; I believe it’s because of the way the locations were set up with trees in between.
Overall, we couldn’t have been happier with our stay at Fort Yargo State Park, and it was well worth the $30 per night price tag. Of course, we aren’t looking to pay $30 per night on a regular basis, but considering the ease of the location and the natural surroundings, it was ideal.

Is DeSoto State Park equipped with full hookups?

Water and electric hookups are available at all of our campgrounds, and some also have sewage hookups. All normal campgrounds have central bathhouses with hot showers and flush toilets. Pets must be kept on a leash. At several Georgia State Parks, you can even make site-specific reservations.
Is cable available at Mistletoe State Park?
Each site features a picnic table, grill, and fire ring, as well as water and 20 and 30 amp electricity service. The convenience station has a washer and dryer. There are no cable connections.

With miles of hiking paths flowing through the Chattahoochee National Forest, this is one of Georgia’s most popular state parks. The Blue Ridge Mountains turn into a rolling blanket of red, yellow, and gold leaves in the fall, and Vogel State Park becomes especially popular. Hikers can select from a number of paths, including the famed Bear Hair Gap loop, which is four miles long. There’s also the 13-mile Coosa Backcountry Trail and an easy lake loop that leads to Trahlyta Falls.
