Use the 15-digit customer-account number printed on your bill as the account number to be paid and City of Ottawa-Water as the payee to set up an online or telephone banking payment. If you are having problems locating the payee name, please contact your financial institution directly.
Please allow at least 3 business days for your financial institution to send payment to the City.
Most financial institutions have a payment processing cut-off time and do not process payments on weekends or holidays until the next business day. The date stamp used by your financial institution to timestamp your payment will be honored by the City of Ottawa.

Paymentus Corporation, the service provider, charges a service fee of 1.99 percent when paying online with a credit card or Interac Debit. Residents can pay water utility bills online with MasterCard, VISA, American Express (AMEX), Interac Online, Mastercard Debit and Visa Debit.

Pre-Authorized Debit (PAD) Plan
Before you can enroll in the plan, you must pay your existing account in full, and the amount owing on your bill will be processed on the due date.
Log into My ServiceOttawa and go to your registered water utility account to enroll (if you have not yet registered your water billing account, follow these instructions). Follow the on-screen directions after selecting the blue menu item marked “Pre-authorized debit.” You can create a My ServiceOttawa account if you don’t already have one.
Each year, authorization is not necessary. Customers on the PAD Plan who have missed more than three payments in a 12-month period will be dropped from the program.
It is not possible to transfer your pre-authorized debit (PAD) plan. A new application form must be filled out.
