Place the butane tip into the lighter’s inlet valve. Filling the lighter with butane should be done upside down to avoid getting air into the lighter, which will cause it to malfunction.
Hold down the butane valve on the inlet valve for 5 seconds. The lighter will be full if you repeat this method one more time.
After filling, light the lighter and adjust the flame, which will be higher than you need.
Turn the screw on the bottom of the butane lighter to the “-” position using the tiny flat tip screwdriver. This screw is in the same place where you load the lighter with butane on some Ronson lighters.
